When another app is the better pick

Paprika is a one-time purchase, so if you cook from one device and never want a subscription, it can cost less over several years. Plan to Eat has a long track record and clips recipes from Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest. Mealfolder is the cheaper subscription, works in any browser and on Android, reads a photo of a cookbook page, and lets up to six people share one kitchen on the Household plan.

Moving takes one file. Paprika and Plan to Eat both export your whole library, and Mealfolder reads those files directly. Mealime has no export, so Mealfolder matches your favorites by name against every recipe Mealime published. The free plan holds 10 recipes; if your import is bigger, you get $4 off the first year of Plus at that moment. Start free.
