Mealime never shipped an export. Its closing notice (mealime.com/closing) says the app is discontinued on 21 October 2026 and that all personal data is deleted at shutdown. Here is what actually works, from fastest to slowest.
Every Mealime recipe has a public page on mealime.com, and those pages carry the full recipe in structured form. Mealfolder keeps an index of all of them, 3,291 as of 9 September 2026. Paste the names of your favourites on the Mealime rescue page, tick the matches, and the exact recipes are saved with their photos, ingredients and steps. On a computer you can log in at app.mealime.com, select the whole Favourites page, copy, and paste everything; the names are picked out for you. Diet variants (gluten-free, dairy-free) match the same recipe.
If you only want a handful, find each recipe at mealime.com/recipes, copy the page address and use any recipe app's link import. In Mealfolder that is Add recipe → Link, or Share → Mealfolder from the browser on Android. Do this before 21 October; the pages go away with the service.
Screenshots of a recipe in the Mealime app can be read by a photo import. It is slower and you will want to check quantities, but it works for anything the other two routes miss, including your own notes.
Grocery-list history and meal-plan history are not on any public page. Screenshot your current week if you want a record. Your account settings, diet and dislikes take a minute to re-enter anywhere.
Whatever you move to, check it has a full export before you invest another year of recipes in it. Mealfolder's portability promise is written into its terms: export everything, on every plan, at any time, and 90 days' notice with export available if the service ever closes.
