Mela can export all recipes, or just a category such as Favorites, as a .melarecipes file (single recipes export as .melarecipe). Mealfolder reads both: titles, ingredients, directions, notes, photos and the original source link.
Full importer for .melarecipes and .melarecipe files. Export steps from Mela's desktop app as documented by third-party import guides, read November 1, 2026; the menu wording can differ by version.
Free plan: 10 recipes and this week's plan. If your import is bigger, you get a one-time offer at that moment: $4 off the first year of Plus ($8.99) or Household ($15.99), good for 30 days.

Mela is an Apple-only app bought once per platform, with a beautiful reader and video recipe import. Mealfolder adds a web app on any computer, Android, and a Household plan where up to six people keep their own logins. Free for 10 recipes and this week's plan, then $12.99 a year.
Recipes land in your box with their photos and source links. Drop them onto the week in Plan, tap Make grocery list, and the list is written by aisle. Everything you import can be exported again at any time, on every plan (portability promise).
Mela is a trademark of its owner. Mealfolder is not affiliated with it. Export steps were checked on the date in the guide and may change; tell us at [email protected] if they have.
