Moving from Samsung Food: no export button, three routes that work.

Samsung Food (formerly Whisk) does not offer a recipe export in its help pages as of 9 September 2026. Most saved recipes came from websites, though, and those move in seconds.

No bulk export exists on Samsung Food's side. If one appears, upload the file as is; Mealfolder reads CSV, HTML, JSON and zip exports.

How to move your Samsung Food recipes

Web recipes: open the recipe in Samsung Food → "View original" (or the source link) → Share → Mealfolder on Android, or copy the address into Add recipe → Link. Photo and credit come with it.
Recipes you typed in: open the recipe, select the text, copy, and use Add recipe → Paste. The parser splits ingredients and steps for you to check.
Recipes that only exist as photos: screenshot and use Add recipe → Photo.
Meal plans and lists: do not transfer anywhere; plan next week in Mealfolder and the grocery list is written from it.

Price and plan comparison

Samsung Food+ is $59.99 a year (their site, checked 7 September 2026) and the free tier limits weekly AI plans. Mealfolder is free for 10 recipes and this week's plan, then $12.99 a year, and everything you save can be exported.

After the import

Recipes land in your box with their photos and source links. Drop them onto the week in Plan, tap Make grocery list, and the list is written by aisle. Everything you import can be exported again at any time, on every plan (portability promise).
